Philosophy of Ministry
Statement of Faith
In the triune if God-Father/Son/Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a divine person
All scripture in the Bible is given by the inspiration of God
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation
Salvation has been provided through grace by Jesus Christ for all men
It is the will of God that every believer be filled with the Holy Spirit
Healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every believer
The Church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal savior
Moderation: Learning the blessing of balance
In the personal, visible, imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ
In water baptism, and observance of the Lord's Supper
Evangelism as obedience to Jesus' Great Commission
THE GREAT COMMISSION
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
THE GREAT COMMANDMENT
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets are based on these two commandments. "
To worship our Lord Jesus Christ and to reach out to the lost (those outside Jesus' Kingdom), and to uplift the Saints (those inside Jesus' Kingdom).
...CFC is called by the Lord Jesus Christ to be a group of people that......
...purposefully and consistently wins the lost through outreach, extension ministry, and personal evangelism.
...strategically uplifts the saints through Christ-centered preaching, active small groups, and discipleship.
...impacts the community through organized and personal activism.
...becomes a part of worldwide ministry through ongoing involvement in missions and church planting.
...is a center of healing ministry- emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
...practices Christian tolerance to all denominations of the Christian Faith.
...strives for unity in essentials tolerance in non-essential, and love in all things.
What We Value
We are a group of people committed to living life without pretense or hypocrisy. What you see is what you get at home and at work and in the ministry.
Everyone needs someone now and then to just be their friend. We are committed to being friends-not just when it is easy but always.
The world is a little crazy and out of control, but God is not. Our ministry focuses on hope and answers not fear and doubt.
You cannot earn God's acceptance but He accepts you now and forever through faith in Jesus Christ. Because of this, guilt and coersion have no place at CFC.
God uses each of us to supply something to someone else.
